I really really want to buy a kitty, but I'm scared when I think that it'll die someday n I know cats don't have a long life like us humans. I've been takin care of stray cats now n then. but i really want one. Don't know what to do. My friends say they were really depressed when they lost their pet which makes me even more scared to get one.
If you live your life not doing things because you are scared, you will wind up waking up one day and realize you have never really lived. All good things must come with some bad. Nothing lasts forever.
It IS depressing when you lose them, but they are worth it for the joy they bring into your life. A way around the depression is to adopt from the pound because then you've saved its life and when it dies you can tell yourself, well, I gave it a good long life when it was going to be killed by the pound.
cats are mean! they dont care about you at all!! only when theyre kittens theyre nice..dogs love you no matter what... cats could care les.sorry but its true..
Personally, the joy I get from my pets every day outweighs the grief I'll feel when they pass on. You know the saying, "Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all"? It was written about human love, but I think it could also apply to pet ownership.
