Default ive adopted 2 rescue kittens.they still very scared.how can i get them to

feel more relaxed? had them 4 bout 2 wks now, were at a foster home for 2 wks before i got them.bro & sis.bout 10/11 wks old.their mum was a stray, abandoned them.they seem to have settled in quite nicely.causing chaos as little kittens do.they still very scared of me tho, whenever i enter a room that they in, or even get a little bit too close, they run like the devil was chasing them! its weird cause when im sitting down or in bed, they will come up to me even climb all over me or fall asleep on my lap. but if i even move an arm, they off.they trust me when im still but not when im moving.ive had cats before but never rescue kittens and im finding it very hard to bond with them cause they wont let me near. its a bit frustrating. the little boy kitty lets me stroke him even allows me to pick him up, but i have to be a bit sneaky bout it,but the girl wont ave any of it,& she still hisses at me now &then.i spend loads of time playing with them, also give them space.what more can i do 2?i have given them treats by hand, they have no problems there.

they are probably not used to human contact.if thet dont start trusting you soon ,try going to a behavior specialist they will be able to help you.

Well, kittens are very small, when you're up and walking, you must be scary. They may not be quite used to you yet, so I would keep going as you are. If you think that they are no better now than when you got them, that is different.

Sounds like youre doing well, maybe try feeding them directly, also scent is very important so maybe sleep with an old jumper and then put it in with them to get used to. They'll soon adopt you.

Just give them time to adjust and get used to you.

dont worry about it. we adopted two young kittens from a shelter and found that initially, they were reluctant to get too close to us, unless, like you they came to us when we were lying down etc. just let them settle in, keep on feeding them by hand and keep talking to them. eventually, and you'll probably find almost overnight, they will be more trusting towards you. enjoy them !

I would just give them a little more time. Both of my kittens were adopted and they each took awhile to bond with me. The first one would come over to me and try to cuddle with me as soon as I went to bed but if I moved to pet her she'd run away and hide. After about a week she got used to me and would let me pet her but it still took about two more weeks before she'd let me approach her without running. If they're coming up to you when you're still, they'll probably adjust before too long. Just be patient.

Give them enough cuddle. Kittens still need their mummy and there is nothing better than making them realise that you are now their mummykittens do not like noise so that might be why they ran away. Ttry to be quiet when you approch them. This may sound strange but talk to them. They will feel familiar with your voice in short time and things will get better. And be there when you feed them.Hope things get better really quicky! Say hi to them for me ; )
