Default Long hair or short?

So, share with us...what have you got? A long hair or short? Both my babies are short hairs because I dont have time to comb every day w/ my hectic schedule.

All four of my cats are short hair. I couldn't imagine having a long hair cat. We have enough cat hair in the house we have to deal with now. :

My two cats, mother and son have short hairs. It's really hard to clean their hairs on the sofa and bedsheets.

I use a lint roller - or, if I need to keep things neat before a party or something I'll drape everything in a top sheet before I leave for work & fold them up when I come home ... I guess it's just the price we pay for having our little ones, right?

We use lint rollers too. We have all our furniture in the family room covered. When company comes, we just take the ones we have on the furniture and replace them with fresh ones. We bought a new bagless vacuum with a pet hair tool attachment on it. It is wonderful. You can use them on chairs, couches, etc. and it just sucks all the hair up. It beats using a lint roller for larger furniture

My Egor is a short hair domestic tabby. She gets brushed many times a day and she insists on it. Not much shedding going on now mind you 'cause of the cold weather... but come the spring I could probably knit a sweater from what I pull out of her brush.

Egor has certain spots where she likes to lounge and sleep. These spots are always covered. But not much hair is left behind.

I've always had long-hair cats. I had intended to get a short-hair cat this last time but I fell in love with Lucy. but from my experience of spending time with my friends' short hair kittys, I think the short hair ones shed just as much and more than the long-hair ones (with the exception of persians). the sh ones fur sticks to clothing and funiture really bad. The only thing with lh kitties is that they shed more in clumps and with hardwood floors I have tumbling fuzz balls rolling around. You do have to brush them alot cuz they get mats alot.

My kitten is medium haired for now. I'm not sure if he'll be long haired when he's an adult or not. I usually have short haired cats, but this one was just so cute! LOL Plus, there's only one.
