Long or short hair?

Do you prefer long or short haired cats? I prefer the looks of long haired cats, but the maintenance of a short haired cat. So I guess I like them both. What about you?

I have both as you can see from the pics.

The funny thing is that they are 3 brothers from the same litter yet not only do they have different length fur but they are so differently coloured.

I would love to get one that looks like the gray one.

I know this isn't a dog forum, but since you were saying about them being brothers & not looking the same...I used to have 2 dogs that were brothers out of the same litter. The one looked like a Rottweiler/Pit Bull/??? mix which is what the mom looked like & the other one was light blonde & looked like a husky mix! LOL

I love the look of long hair cats. My Himalayan doesn't shed as bad as I thought he would and we have had him for a year.

I like long haired and short haired equally, though. I currently own both.

The boys are called Spike (the fluffy whitish one) Blackie and Tabster.
Spike loves being groomed and I find it very relaxing to do, Blackie loses the most fur and he is very silky .
Tabster is the smallest and has the shortest fur however when I brush him he never wants me to stop.

I like both, they have a different appeal but looking at one from the other doesn't make me take sides LOL. I currently own two short hairs and maybe someday I hope to have a long haired one.
