Default Watering Hole

Our cat prefers the toilet or a wet bathtub to a fresh bowl of water. I priced those watering bowls that filter the water but didn't like the price. Their claim to fame is simply charcoal filetering. I bought a small aquarium filter and a trash can. "Ice" started drinking before I could install the filter. Time will tell if this project is a success. I spent $14 and will still have a trash can in the end. I'll post details and photos when there is something to report.

They do love the running water, don't they?

I'm interested to see the details, since I can't quite picture the two items going together myself.

I watched Ice drink this morning. The water has been out for several days and smells fresh. The kit uses a disposable filter but I may opt for floss and loose charcoal. A weekly cleaning should be sufficient. Here are photos.

That is really a neat idea. I bought one of those "waterfall" things and while the cats did like it, I discovered it had to be completely taken apart and washed out about every 3rd day or things got slimy.
