Default Wal-Mart Cat food?

I buy my cat Special Kitty dry food, which apparently is not part of the recall. It is now April 15th, and my cat is a little low on food and I am going to purchase a new bag of Special Kitty. If I buy this bag on say April 20th, was this food made before or after the recall. In other words, when you buy a bag of cat food from Wal-Mart, when was it made? A month ago, a week ago, 3 months ago, what?

Several months prior to shipment. They give it time to be processed shipped shelved and then a period of time is allowed for purchasing and home storage as well.

I don't buy that brand but what I did was read the ingredients in my dry cat food. Mine has corn gluten, not wheat gluten. as long as it doesn't have wheat gluten it is safe for your cat. If it does, put her on a different brand that doesn't. I'll never feed my babies anything with wheat gluten ever again. Too many animals have died. So sad. *tears*

when you go the cat aisle at Wal-Mart, there are red circular stickers on the products that are bad. Don't buy anywith the red dot.
