Default Have you ever used Pet Promise Cat food? If so, can you give a review?

I switched from giving my cat Royal Canin, to the Pet Promise brand we found at Whole Foods (it costs half the price), and NO odor change in cats "makings", and the cats seem to like it. We've only been using it a few weeks still. I couldnt find many reviews, so I thought I woudl try here. Thanks in Advance!http://www.petpromiseinc.com/This food is NOT part of the recall

If memory serves me and I think it does Pet promise is one of the brands they pulled off the shelves because it was making pets sick and some died.I do not know if the problem has been corrected yet.You might want to check with a main brand name pet store ie; pet smart, pet supplies plus they should be able to tell you if that was one of the recalled brands.

Hi,I've used the dry product for 2 cats for about 6 months with great results. One cat is easy, he eats anything (even dog food) the delicate one took to this food, and had some improvements, less shedding--healthy weight gain & shiny coat. I like the philosophy of this company as well. If only 30% of antibiotic and hormone free meats are consumed by humans as prime cuts then why not make a quality pet food (minus the by-products!) for our pets out of the rest? For me it's easy to purchase at Sprouts, Central Market, Whole Foods and others. I am very happy with the results. I will be adding the canned wet food to the dry for Miss Delicate Constitution (not her real name) as the vet says she needs more water in her diet to help with Struvite crystalization issues.

Hi
Perhaps you're thinking of a brand with a similar name because Pet Promise has never been on the recall list. I tried my cats on it because I wanted something which would be good for an overweight senior and without by-products.
I have 2 14 yr olds, one chubby and one whose weight is fine. Unfortunately, they just didn't care for it too much. I was sorry about that because I think they have a good philosophy and very good ingredients, especially since I think the food is grain free.
