Default Interstitial Cystitis

Hi everyone, Ihave a 1 1/2 year old kitten that has been newly diagnosed with IC, her problem started with signs of UTI, (trying to urinate often with no/little results, urinating in inappropriate places, etc..) tooke her to the vet, given antibiotics for 7days, changed food to Hills, next day after her last pill, same behavior. Back to the vet, still with blood in the urine, elevated protiens, no bacteria. Diagnosed IC. Did some reading/research, changed her stressful situation with new rescued cat, and have continued Hills diet. Seems to be better, still urinates in small amounts (in catbox), am worried she may be in pain and I dont know it.

This started as I said with my new rescue, she is in one part of the house and the kitten is in the other during the day. When I get home I open all doors and they are free to rome. This is when the stalking and hissing starts. Since the diagnosis, I have been keeping them seprated until the last few days.

Just wanted any advice/info from someone who's had a cat with IC and what their experience has been, diet changes etc...

Frustrated and concerned!
