Question Gentamicin in a nebulizer

Follow up to my cat Charlie who tested positive for E-coli in his nasal culture, was given an injection of Convenia 2 weeks ago, went in today for his follow up,and no improvement. So the vet suggested gentamicin in a nebulizer. Anyone ever had this done to their pet, or know anything? Thanks

Default

This page has some great info about gentamicin: Gentamicin (Gentocin®). It says there that gentamicin is used in both dogs and cats to treat or prevent bacterial infections including respiratory infections, wound infections, pneumonia, bloodstream infections, bladder infections and infections of the skin and ear.

Hope that helps!
