Default cat back from vet, not herself

I'm pet sitting and the cat had a barium something to clear a blockage. It worked so no surgery was needed. 1). would anasthesia have beenused for this procedure? 2). She is very spaced out, sits and looks at walls and follows you around all the time. Doesn't want to go out and used to be such a free spirit. Loved to climb trees and chase "stuff". Any ideas what might be going on and any ideas to help her? 3). I'm thinking brain damage. Is that possible?

How long has she been back from the vets?If she has had anaesthetic she will be drowsy, and the vet should have told you.Keep an eye on her and if your not happy give the vet a ring for advice.xxxxx

Call your vet, but any time after a cat has been anesthetized (thank you, spell check!) or traumatized at the vet they're liable to be listless and lost-seeming for a while.
