Default Kittens with a bad cold

My 2 kittens (3 and 6 months old) came down with a nasty cold. My 8 year old cat, Weewee, started with it but after some 7 days he suddenly got over it.
The kittens worry me. The youngest one, Jonesy, also has a very red eye and keeps crying out of it. All I can do is try and keep it clean. Weewee also cleans it. LOL
The other kitten, Butters, keeps sneezing, coughing and sometimes sounds like he's having trouble breathing. Almost sounds like when a child is very congested or has a touch of asthma.
All I know to give them is half a tablet of Benadryl but that should only help with the sneezing.
I already left a message for the vet to call me back but I wonder if there's anything else I can give them or any type of homemade food that will help them.
Last night I tried to get them in the bathroom while the hot shower was running so the steam could help them but they ran away from it. Guess they thought it was bath time. LOL I will try another approach to do that later today because they're more congested at night. I also turned off all the ceiling fans hoping that will help too.
Any suggestions from the more experienced cat owners? I've had cats for over 10 years but never had them get sick with a cold.

The best suggestion is to take them imm to the vet.

Thanks! Butters started breathing a lot better yesterday and was playing around but Jonesy is not feeling good.
The vet will see them tomorrow but I have a friend who says her cats are going through the same thing and it's not that I brought it over to them cuz I haven't been there since Weewee started with his sneezing. There must be something going around.

Butters is doing great but the vet found that Jonesy had a temperature and looks like upper respiratory infection. She said her 3rd eyelid looked pretty bad and it actually looks better today than 2 days ago. So, he got an antibiotic and some ointment for the eye.
The poor thing is sleeping and not happy they checked his temperature but it had to be done.
It's similar to what Weewee had but because Jonesy is only around 4 months old it hit him hardest. His immune system is not yet as strong as that of a mature cat.
Thanks for all the advise, I just worry too much when my babies get sick.

Thanks! Jonesy's doing much much better. Still sneezing but not nearly as bad as he was and his eyes have cleared up. He's also playing around but with a lot of rest. Butters' eye has some discharge but I called the vet and she says not to worry for now and just watch if the discharge changes in color or if his eating/drinking habits change.
Maybe because Butters is older he's able to fight it off better than Jonesy.
They're both getting spoiled even more than usual. LOL
Oh! And Deedee, who's the one that will have her teeth removed on the 21st due to infection, is eating and doing good. I found the Royal Canin food for baby kittens and it's so small that she can eat it well. She's even putting on some weight, which is good. And to think the rescue group wanted her back so they could put her to sleep! She's so sweet, and I'm sure she'll do well once the infection is totally gone.
