Default Help! Shorty AGAIN!

I posted a thread a while ago about my cat shorty's health taking a turn for the worse.

Her symptoms were:

Gagging randomely/or trying to puke but nothing comes up
swallowing alot
could eat ok
could pee/dunno about poop
Changing in tone of her vocals [low and sickly]
Wanting to sleep all the time

I took her to the vet in the morning and he felt her belly/abdomen whatever and said he felt nothing wrong.

He took her temp and it was normal.

He gave her a rabies shot which turned out ok

And she came back negative for feline leukemia.

He also said he checked her throat and found nothing.

Please help me! Nothing has changed! and some has gotten worse!

She's still trying to gag/puke but nothing comes out
She swallows alot
She can eat ok
She pees/ dunno if she can poop ok yet
Her voice is totally gone [nothing but squeaks can be heared]
She still wants to do nothing but sleep

I'm thinking of calling the pet clinic again in the morning and I'm trying to figure out what to tell them. Should I ask them to give her an X-ray to make sure nothing is wrong?

Please someone help me!

I'm afraid something is seriously wrong and that she might die.

I'm on benefits right now and I can only do so much for her.....

She's my friend and I want to help her, I've had her for about 3 or 4 years...

Her history:

She is the result of incest
She is the runt of the litter
She is also an orange tabby and IS indeed a female

I really need someone who might know what is wrong with her, and could possibly tell me what to ask for when I phone the vet tomorrow.

I'm sorry this is still happening to your beloved Shorty.Perhaps you need to look for a new vet who will take your concerns seriously. Yes, x rays are a must.

I'm concerned about the fact you don't know when Shorty last pooped? A cat needs to poop, and if she hasn't she may have an obstruction. find a new vet fast!

I am unable to find another vet at this time, while my conserns should be taken seriously, money is a big problem. And to get Shorty seen by the vet she sees now is about 35 to 40 bucks upfront while other vets charge around 100 bucks for a check up and up for whatever else needs to be done.

Because i'm on benefits, and most of what I get goes to rent, my grandfather is paying and he rather go to that vet...

There isn't much I can do but plead for him to give her an X-ray....

Default Important Update

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all who have prayed for me and my cat Shorty. You guys are so great and caring, and have calmed me down quite a bit.

Shorty is doing much much better now, and it turns out she had a very BAD ear infection. She had all this brown/black stuff deep in her left ear, that is was agony for both vet and shorty to get it out.

She is currently on some ear drops right now, that I must give to her twice a day. 5 drops in her left ear. Taking her back to the vet last monday, the vet still cannot see her ear drum in her left ear, but im hoping the ear drops will help get whats left out.

thank you for updating us! I'm glad the vet finally figured out what was wrong. Are you using tresaderm? I guess Shorty should be feeling more herself before too much longer.

Keep us updated.
