have everything ready. use something soft she likes like a dot of yogurt (this will also offset any digestive upset from the antibiotic) get a bowl and put the pill and the bit of yogurt in it.

kneel on the floor with your feet crossed behind you, place trixie between your knees facing out. this when when she tries to back away she will have nowhere to go. hold pill in one hand, pry open mouth with other, poke pill in, toward side of mouth and as far bakc as you can. while still holding her with left hand, reach for yogurt and put a dot on her nose., She will lick off the yogurt and swallow, pill and all.

I make it sound easier than it is, at first. but once you master this method you'll be able to pill any cat, any time. I know I can!:)

What is the medication? some pills (baytrill for instance) are very bad tasting. For those it helps to put the pill into a plain empty gel capsule.

I don't know what is going on with this site.. I have desperately tried to post my reply for at least five times... but anyway, here I am :
Pink29, I'm so glad to hear from you again in such a short time with the good news about trixie... she finally got proper treatment and feeling good again. I believe everyone here will be relieved too to know this. Hopefully, this will be just an allergy and nothing more than that. Please keep us updated on how trixie improves ... :)
I am feeling good too to know that you finally will be able to have a good night sleep tonight ...;)

Acerlt : thanks for sharing with us the pill-yoghurt method. I used to have the pill crushed and dilute it in some water mixed with honey, but never thought of this smart yoghurt trick ! :D You're simply the best !!
