bottle babies with diarrhea
So yesterday we got 2 2wk old kittens... supposedly they were found in the woods burried under a tree. The mother either abandoned them or was eaten by cyotes. (supposedly) They both have diarrhea with some blood making me think they have coccidia. The last kitten we rescued that had coccidia ended up costing like $75... right now I only have like $90. I need to know if the coccidia will go away on its own, and if not would I be safe to wait till like wed of next week when I get paid again. They are both eating great (atleast 1tbsp each every 3 or so hrs) and they don't seem dehydrated or anything... I'm trying to make sure they are eating as much liquid as they are losing.

Hi there, I hope the kittens are doing OK, I noticed no-one had replied to you. You are so good to take them in and look after them.

I've got no experience of this, but I think the main thing is to keep them as hydrated as much as possible - which is what you are doing. Of course it would be better if you can take them to the vets for additional care and medicines but I understand the cost can be an issue.
