Default Is it my detergent?

I just recently mopped my floors last week, and since then my two cats have been throwing up a lot. The detergent I used is called Fantastic, and it contains dymethyl benzyl ammonium chloride. Doesn't sound very healthy. They used to throw up a lot when I used Mr. Clean as well. I did use a biodegradable cleaner called Green Clean or something like that a little while back and they didn't throw up at all. I keep dry cat food in their bowls and I give them each a moderate portion of Fancy feast moist food every day. They are both almost 12 years old, so I guess their stomachs are more sensitive. Could my floor detergent be the cause? Thanks.

Could be. I clean with white vinegar.

However I do urge you to consider transitioning the cats off of dry food all together and feed only canned.

And get them in for check ups, including a senior blood panel, specify that the vet add thyroid testing, not all do.

Since these cats have shown issues, please rinse whenever you clean. Just don't leave the detergent on the floors/surfaces. It really is way healthier to feed wet food only, and I agree Sr checkups would be a great idea.
