Default How often is you cat fed? and how much?

We give our cat 1/4 cup of dry food 2 times a day. She was raised with 4 other cats so she was used to getting very little to eat so her 1/4 of a cup she gets in the morning lasts most of the day and usually in the evening i make sure there is food in her dish or she will wake me up early meowing that shes hungry.

This may be bad. But I dont really measure how much my cat eats. I just always make sure that she has fresh food in her dish and fresh water to drink daily. She is not over wieght. So I dont really worry about it.

My cat's on an automatic feeding dish, he always has food in his bowl. I was skeptical at first, but he most definitely does not abuse it.

I leave the food out for them all day (until the dogs come in at night, then I have to put it away). They definitely don't over eat. I only see them over there very few times a day eating. They are all maintaining a very healthy weight.

We feed our cats 2 - 3 times day, morning, noon and night time. They also don't overeat and sometimes there are leftovers. We give them fish and rice. They love fish.
