my cat is 4 years old. he has a sand in a kidney. i keep him on a diet, never feed with ocean food or any fish. only chicken or beef or turkey. i have been giving gim Fensy Feast can food, but i heard its no good. any advice?

this may sound silly but every time one of my cats is sick i buy the tiny jars of gerber meat baby food. there's lamb, chicken, beef & turkey, i think. it's only 2 1/2 ounces, just enough for a sick kitty. it's pure meat, soft & mild enough for their sick tummys. they love the taste & i feed it to them with a baby spoon. one of my cats got in a fight a while ago & got her mouth cut inside. the baby meats were just right for her sore mouth.
