I breed Ragdolls and have never come across continuouse purring. One of my girls purrs most of the time. If you talk to her or move towards her its like an engine kicking in lol.
Cats purr for a couple of reasons, They purr when they are content and at ease as a way of letting all around know we are happy and comfortable here.
They also purr as a way to combat stress, it is believed the sound relaxes them as it helps to remind them of times when they were at ease. (I am not sure if this is proven). But I know cats recovering from opperations purr loadly.
I had a very poorly kitten once and she purred loadly most of the time. I would get your cat checked over by a vet just in case there is an underlying problem. Has she shown any symptoms of stress like urinating in odd places? Does she hide away or sleep almost all of the time?
It could be that you have a very happy cat which I hope is the case.
