Have your tried homemade cat foods? Or have you tried different brands?

Thankfully we weren't using any of the dog or cat foods on the recall list. We got the lists from cnn.com and we won't buy from any of the recalled brands in the future. It already freaked me out enough, lol.

I only feed Fancy Feast and Friskies canned, and sensitive stomach Science Diet dry - none were recalled. I looked at every can and bag of cat food to see if 'wheat gluten' was an ingredient. Tossed out anything that had 'wheat gluten' in it. I also am looking a human food for wheat gluten, it is in everything. I keep checking on what is on the recall list. I got on the list-serve for FDA recalls - www.fda.gov. From the list-serve I get a notice on foods recalled at the same time the media knows. Other than that I am watching my cats for changes in eating. Wish I knew what else Menu-foods makes, I refuse to buy anything they had part of again.Next week there will be congressional hearings about the problems with pet food. This is not over yet.

To all Pet parents,Iams Dry, Eukanuba Dry dog and cat food do not contain wheat in the food and where not manufactured at menu foods plants. they are made at Proctor & Gamble plants.Nutro Dog and Cat Dry food, and treats do not contain Wheat in their food, Do not import the grains they do use and their food is not made at menu foods.Hope this helps to put some relief to pet parents.
