Because cats don't like eating mice, they just like killing them and batting around their dead bodies. If it tasted like mice then they'd smack it all over the place and you'd have a mess.
i would imagine to keep peta off the back of the food companies.they wouldnt want a mouse killed to let a cat know that it tastes like a mouse lol .it makes you wonder
