Da verdict is in: The cats are CRAZY about Da Bird! Da BirdTM consists of a 36" fiberglass rod, 50 lb. test braided nylon string and aerodynamically configured feathers that mimic the action and of a REAL bird in flight. You won't want to miss this very fun toy! If you have not witnessed first hand a cats reaction to Da Bird, then you have no idea what you are in for! A single bob of Da Bird is completely irresistible to cats. Set on a swivel, its feathers look, sound, and feel like real bird wings. Its the most fun you'll have with your feline friends! Go Cat makes 2 types of Da Bird. The ORIGINAL Da Bird is a single pole that is 36 inches long. They also make a version that has a pull apart pole (it is actually 2 18 inch poles that connect on the ends) so it can be easily stored and/or mailed. Both offer your cat great fun! (we personally prefer the single pole version as sometimes if one of the cats jumps high enough and grabs the feathers and comes down with force, it can pull the poles apart. On average this happens every couple of play sessions, but can be easily stopped by putting glue in the connector). (becasue of the length of this toy, it cannot ship out of the USA. If you live outside of the USA and order it you will get the Da Bird pull apart version)
Customer Review: Awesome!!
Finally a cat toy that my cat ACTUALLY loves! I just tried Da Bird out for the first time today and my kitty loved it. I was looking for a way to give my indoor cat some extra exercise, and I think I found it. I had read alot about this cat toy but I was really skeptical as to whether or not it would live up my expectations. I figured I had nothing lose though and decided to give it a try and I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a way to have fun with your cat and give him a workout, then you gotta try Da bird.
Customer Review: Great for Cats, Watch Out for Splinters
I recently got my cat Boris this toy. He loves to chase and tackle the feathers and really gets a good work out when we play with it. Overall it is a great toy for cats, with one drawback however. The rod is made with fiberglass and Boris chewed on the end of the rod. When I picked it up my hand received lots of tiny fiberglass splinters which are very painful and impossible to see to get out. Once the pole was wrapped in duct tape it worked great. So a good product, but keep the pole part away from your cat, and your hand.
