"Groomassage" your cat! Regular grooming EFFECTIVELY REDUCES HAIRBALLS!
Customer Review: An incredible grooming tool
I've tried just about every type of brush and comb known to man on our two cats, and this thing is the absolute best, no question. I opened the package today and was immediately skeptical because of the appearance, but a few minutes with the cats made a believer out of me. Mika has a very soft, fluffy, medium coat and Kimi has an extremely short, sleek coat. Both cats produced just clouds of shed fur in a very short time with the Zoom Groom, I cannot believe how much hair came off of both of them. The other reviewers were right about letting a bit of fur build up in the teeth to "grab" loose hairs, once it got started it did a fine job of keeping the fur trapped instead of scattering it everywhere. I'm now the proud owner of two very contented cats and a giant wad of cat hair, wish I'd bought this sooner.
Customer Review: 4 of 5 Cats Recommend This Brush
It has been said, "Dogs have owners and cats have staff." I find a large measure of truth in this statement. I have been "On Staff" for cats for the better part of 35 years, and have had ample opportunity to try out various ways to groom a cat. Far and away, the Kong Cat Zoom Groom beats all others. I bought this brush about three years ago, and found it has passed all field tests with flying colors. My two cats will happily serve as references. It is incredibly effective at removing excess fur. It is very easy to clean. To top it off, the cats really enjoy the experience of being brushed! I have one brush and two cats, and they will each jockey for their turn to be brushed. I've noticed that as I brush them, they purr contentedly; however, they also will often step away for a moment. They don't go far and quickly return for more brushing. I think perhaps it feels too good/provides too much stimulation. But, there's no question...They're hooked! The only aspect I cannot comment on is its efficacy in handling fleas and ticks. The "bristles" are actually soft rubber nubs, and they probably won't be effective in finding and removing fleas and ticks. However, with that said, if you have that issue, then you'll want a more specialized item to properly handle it.
