Default Unanswered: My cat is sick

Hi everyone,

My name is Debbie and I am new to this forum. My little guy Siege is 1 and he is not feeling well today. This morning, I woke up to a hairball on the floor. I went to work and received calls all throughout the day from my kids saying that Siege is vomiting yellow. I looked online and it says "bile". The little guy is miserable. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

Thanks...Debbie

Please take your kitten to the vet. (a one year old cat is still a kitten)

I'm sorry to hear your little guy is not feeling well. It could be that the hairball wasn't alone and another is causing a blockage resulting in the bile vomit... I'd take him to the vet to find out what is going on.

My cat does the same thing, how often are you brushing your cat and feeding it. Cats lick themselves a lot and get hair that they swallow, brushing or hairball control should help that. Cats also need their food spread out through the day. If you feed three to four times a day (split up the daily allotted amount like this) it would be better. The bile it throws up comes from an empty stomach because cats have a high metabolism. I feed my cat at nine in the morning, two in the afternoon and eight at night. If you work just feed it when you get home. This works for my little man and he hasn't thrown up in a month. If your cat keeps throwing up, even with adjustments, you should take a trip to the vet to be safe. I hope it helps.
