Default Unanswered: Cat yowling

Hi everyone, first time on a forum and really could use some help. I have two 15 year old cats. One has started to yowl for food, he has been to the vets several times for blood tests and an ultrasound on his abdomen and has had a long course of antibiotics to clear up an infection. He is thin but seems to want to eat much more frequently and he isn't putting on any weight. There is always fresh water and biscuits but he prefers wet food. He yowls really loudly
and it sounds really desperate, he seems ok in himself, a bit shaky on his legs sometimes. Any suggestions on how to stop the yowling and any tips on good nutrition for more elderly felines.

What kind of blood tests? What did the results show?

When was the last time he was tested for thyroid? Your vet needs to run T-4 and Free T-4 along with the T-3. This sounds exactly like hyperthyroid disease.

He may also be suffering from high blood pressure.

Feed him, feed both of them, wet food. Dry food is very bad for them both. They should be on an all wet diet.
