Default i have a 2 yr old male rescue cat who has been abused?

i have a 2 yr old male cat who was a rescue, and was abused, he is very skittish, and scared, how do i help him to trust us??

Go very slowly with him and don't make any loud noises around him. Let him come to you by giving him treats to intice him. Just show him that you're not going to hurt him and eventually he will begin to trust him

dont force it try not to make any sudden movements or loud noises around him be very gentle at all times be extremely nice. give him treats and leave him to enjoy it eventually he will realize that all u are doing is helping and not hurting. I've dealt with about three abused dogs and 1 abused cat and they are fine now doing alot better then when i got them.

aww poor kitty ;-( start by puting a pice of bedsheat or a shirt or anything else with your sent on it in his favourit place this will help him get used to your smell also, if he decides to come by or something give him his favourite treat hope this helps and good luck! ;->
