At just 4 years old I had to put down Hazzard.
I met Hazzmat at a rescue shelter when he was just 10 weeks old. At first he was not my favourite, his brother really caught my eye however after minutes of being there Hazzy crawled into my lap and lay on his back for me to pet his belly. The woman running the shelter said she had never watcehd a kitten do that to anybody before. I fell in love. As he grew up I noticed that something wasn't 100% right with him. He was rescued from a drug house so he had brain damage due to exposure. He would get into wierd "moods" and would tear around the house growling like a bear and constantly eat. He eventually got to the point where he wouldnt be able to make it to the litter box anymore or eat, he would only drink water. It was such a hard decision to lay him to rest but I know thats what was best for him. I will always love my Hazzmat and will never forget him.

I'm so sorry for your loss of your beautiful beloved Hazzy. Thanks to you he had a wonderful life full of love, and was spared any suffering at the end, that final gift of love. Though his life was short, no cat can hope for more than what you gave him.

He's happily waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge (aka kitty heaven)
