Default how do you cope

I lost my most precious Smudge to poison in july and still find it extremely difficult to come to terms with it. She arrived in my life when my hubby dumped her on my lap in march last year after finding her trapped in the security gate of our shop and to my utter delight he let me keep her ( he is not a cat person and only tolerates my big fat Kitkat because he thinks he is a dog) I fed her with a syringe and formula for a few days but she went from strength to strength. A cross siamese her delicate features looked as though someone had taken a paintbrush and smeared her face after painting it. Our vet said she was the most equisite little thing he had ever seen. No man was allowed to touch her and my teenage son could only have access to her if he put her in his hood and she curled up behind his head while he did his chores. She loved curling up with my staffie dog in her tyre or leading the 2 staffies on patrol around our garden. It is so hard to look out my window and not see her there with them or up the tree giving the birds a hard time. Big fat Kitkat still walks around the house calling her and looking for her in all her hidey holes. Hubby has promised a new kitty but she was a once off.

Dear Jeni,

I am so sorry for your loss. Smudge sounds very precious. I don't have any words of wisdom for you other than give yourself time to heal.

(((hugs)))

JENI,

I'M SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR LOSS.

I HAVE A CAT (KIRBEE) WHO IS 17 YEARS OLD AND GETTING OLDER EVERY DAY. I TRY NOT TO THINK WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN SHE PASSES.
OUR PETS ARE VERY SPECIAL TO US AND I BELEIVE THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU ONLY HAD SMUDGE FOR A SHORT TIME IT WAS FOR SOME UNANSWERED REASON. AND SHE WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOUR HEART. PLEASE GIVE KITKAT A WARM HUG. GIVE HUBBY ONE AS WELL. HE SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT GUY.

YOURS TRULY,
DEBBIE =^..^=

Hey I am so sorry about your loss. I remeber how hard it was to lose my first cat. It technically wasn't mine (it was my gram's cat) but I lived at my grams house. She was the best cat in the world. She taught me that appearances aren't everything. She had patches of missing fuc and stubs for ears. She was deaf. All this was because someone careless threw her into a fire when she was a kitten. She was the most cuddliest sweetest thing in the world. Some people say I am not old enough and experienced enough to know a lot of stuff, but for being just 13 I'd say I got a lot of knowledge about the world already.

I know the feeling of loosing a loved pet. I had a childhood cat whom i got when i was 8. I was 19 when he succumbed to kidney failure. It was over the Chrismas/newyears 1991/1992 when it happened. - he was drinking a lot of water and i knew something was wrong. Even all this time later i still miss him - he was 11 1/2 at the time of his passing. We had not choice but to put him down -- he was miserable.

Over the years the family has lost a variety of pets too my cousins (age 10 & 13) lost both their cats within a year of each other and both their cats had been with them since they were born, so it was hard for them to get over the loss. But - after they lost the first one - they obtained a new one as a companion to their other one and when their second one passed away they got a new one for that one - so now they have two "kittens"

Please visit my website - it showcases various poetry and photos of various pets (both alive and those whom have passed over) I haven't updated it in a while so the two cats i've mentioned above are not on the "rainbow bridge pets" page.

I am new here but here is a kitty hug from my girls to you. I know how you feel, just lost my precious Tiggers 3 weeks ago. Time will heal your pain and hurt but you won't ever forget your baby.
My lil Phoebe came to us at 2 days old! Yes 2 days old, now she is almost 5 yrs old. I fed her with a lil baby bottle until she was old enough to eat on her own. God pity the day I lose her. Your in my thoughts and prayers sweetie. Hang in there, it will get a little better as time goes by.

Hi,
Its me fourmeows, have not been here for awhile. I been sick and been busy with school. My cats are doing ok since they lost Tiggers. They still look for her and meow for her but other wise they are adjusting ok. I still miss my Tiggers so much. I miss her the most in the mornings when I would wake and she would be on my bed laying beside me and then at night when she would come sit on my foot stool by my bed and paw me for her night time snacks.
How is everyone else doing? Hope all your kitties are all ok and doing well. Please keep in touch, its always good to hear from *mew* friends.

Sincerely,
fourmeows
