Default Happy Thanksgiving to our USA friends

My traditional Thanksgiving takes place at my sister's house. It's a 90 mile drive for me, one way, which gets more exhausting every year, but of course I still go.

Unless there is bad weather. An ice storm is predicted to start tomorrow around noon so I have decided to stay home safe and sound with my cats. I don't go out in bad-road weather, it's just not negotiable.

I missed Thanksgiving last year because I had the H1N1 flu. I didn't mind a bit. I think I'm supposed to feel a little sad this year about missing it, but somehow I don't, too much. I always have to travel on holidays, this is a nice break for me, really. I prefer to see my family in smaller groups anyway.

One year we had a blizzard on Christmas Day and I got to stay home for Christmas, that was wonderful!

What's everyone else doing?

Didn't really do much, though I'll admit I ignored most of my electronics more than usual, in favor of family time, haha. We watched some Thanksgiving-themed TV, and had the traditional turkey and everything else dinner... Then played cards for hours on end until my brother fell out of his chair from falling asleep......... - - It was good times.
