A year old cat adopted us recently. We are wonder if she would like to have a cat or dog as a playmate or would she feel jealous?

She has us, two humans, as play mates now. I know that many households have more than one cat and may have a cat and dog in the same household. We had no pets until this cat adopted us. She is wonderful but we are wondering if she would be happier if she had a 4-legged playmate in addition to us.

We know that there are many, many (in fact way too many) candidates at the local animal shelter that would love to be sprung.

you can try it. or bring your cat to the shelter and look at your cat reaction. if you think your cat likes it why not try it. just always have an eye to them so it won't cause trouble.

Thanks that is a great idea about taking her to the shelter to kind of let her pick.
