...can we prevent that? A managed cat colony at the church where I teach preschool is using our playground as a litter box. The ground cover we have is wood chips. We have tried fox urine, a special box that makes a cat-repelling noise and a commercial chemical product all with no noticiable difference in the frequency of use. It is causing a huge problem between the colony manager, church members and the preschool staff. help!

cats are territorial so relocating will just move another group of cats in. how about trap,neuter and release so that the group will fade out eventually.

Trap the cats and send them to the humane society. End of story. Sorry, but the cats feces can pose a health risk to children and pregnant women. Warn colony manager in certified letter form.
