In case there are any of you who've never heard of or seen it, there is a cool cat in the British TV series "Red Dwarf." The series came out some years back and can be found on VHS cassette and probably on DVD by now. It's a sci-fi show set in the future, and in it a cat evolves into human form and becomes one of the companions of the lone human survivor of some accident aboard a space ship. It's very funny (to me) and lampoons many of the great sci-fi movies and TV series that came before it. Check it out if you love cats and/or science fiction.

I used to watch that series quite a few years back. It was aired on our Sci-Fi station in Canada. I don't remember the cat though. I am going back maybe 5 - 10 yrs. Yikes!!! Where does the time go?

The cat was a black guy with fangs who'd stop at any mirror and ask "How am I lookin? I'm lookin' good!" and primp himself. He also had an aerosol can he'd "scent mark" with, saying "This is mine. This is mine...I don't want that" and so forth. Great characterization of a cat as human.
