Question I got a ? about persians size

Hi All Bella got spayed today. She is 11 months old she is only 2lb 2oz does it that them longer to grow. Do all cats grow later. I just don't know. I keep food out all the time they get there soft cat food in the morning too. Zoey is 6lb 4oz and my new rescue persian is 9lb. Just wondering if Bella will get bigger.

Does your vet say anything about her size? To me, at the age she is, she should not weigh that little. Have you watched her, to make sure she's eating? I would have her checked to make sure there is not something going on internally, that may be causing her to lose weight, rather then gaining it.

You could call your vet and ask (mine gives advice over the phone, not sure if yours will). Tell him/her that you are very concerned about Bella's size, and if it might be necessary for her to have tests to rule certain things out. Is she eating and doing her business? No signs of anything out of the ordinary?

She is going and pees when I do in her own litter box though LOL. Food is out all the time self feeder. She acts just like a normal cat. Maybe I should not worry. I was just surprised she only weighed that much. This was done a the local humane society. It had the weight on there from the vet who did it.

Ahh, that could have been the weight she was when the shelter received her.
As for the food, you are better off having your kitties on a feeding schedule, rather then leaving food out all day. Not only for weight management reasons, but also the food can gather bacteria if left out for an unspecified amount of time.

I'm also worried about her weigh and size... My Princess and Lady are all dainty kitties (DSH adult kitties - both are only 3 kg, each), but as a persian kitty .. ?
I hope the vet can rule out everything for her. Keep a careful eye on her..and keep us updated.

However, great to know that she's finally spayed

That is really not much. I'd ask the vet again if I were you. It's strange they didn't say anything.
