Default Adopting a little grey kitten next week

I was going to wait until next spring but I seen theese adorable kittens at the the pet store by me and I just fell in love , their is a sweet little male kitty I was drooling over so I decided to put a deposit on him and bring him home next week , he is solid grey , short hair and his name will be Milo , can't wait to have him home , wondering what Montana will think of her new little brother in time when they meet

Oh no, you should never buy a kitten from a pet store. Those kittens are bred in atrocious conditions. The queens are kept in tiny cages and bred back to back litters until they are of no more use to the kitten mill. They suffer terribly.

The kittens are generally in poor health all their lives, if they live at all.

Never ever support kitten mill breeding by buying from pet shops.

Either buy from an ethical responsible breeder (after visiting the home and seeing the parents of the kittens) or adopt from a shelter or rescue.

he isn't buying them from a kitten mill , he only has maybe 1 or 2 litters a year for sale and this was a accident litter , they had planned on getting the mom spayed but she got out before they could catch her , she will be spayed after this I'am sure

You are taking a big risk and opening yourself to the possibility of expense and heart break. Health of any cat doesn't come with guarantee of course but buying from a pet store increases the odds of trouble considerably.

Since you are determined to do this be sure to keep the kitten isolated from Montana for 2 full weeks. Do NOT isolate Montana, it is the kitten who should be kept in the bathroom not your cat who already lives there.

Take him to the vet right away. Get him tested for diseases.

And make sure you have a lot of money put aside for vet bills.

PS I don't mean to sound snarky. I will help you all I can if your little one is sick. Just be prepared.

Milo's test results came back negative for feline Lukemia and Feline virus , he also has no ear mites and he got wormed but the vet did find a few fleas on him so he put some Revolution on him , he is staying in the bedroom for 3 weeks until he get his next set of shots and another dose of Revolution then he should be ok

How is Montana handling it? The bedroom wasn't her territory before I hope?

If she was used to sleeping with you, and you are keeping Milo in the bedroom, you should be sleeping out in the living room with Montana.
