Everyone in the world knows of some cartoon cat, whether in the funny pages or animated films. There's Garfield, Felix and Sylvester that immediately come to mind. Perhaps less well known are Eek! ("It never hurts to help," and it does, of course), Rags the Tiger (way back in the '50s), Jinksie (of Pixie and Dixie), Snagglepuss ("Exit stage left..."), Bill the Cat (from the comic strip "Bloom County" - my second fave) and who can forget the Pink Panther. Then there are my personal all-time faves - Si and Am from the Disney movie "Lady and the Tramp." I loved those bad kitties from the first time I saw them as a child. "We are Si-am-ese if you ple-ase..." Anyone have any favorites or know of some obscure ones to dredge up from memory?
Well first there is "Bucky" from Darby Conley's "Get Fuzzy". I know It doesn't count as a cartoon cat, but I love the evil genius cat in the movie" Cats and Dogs"

OMG, how could I forget Bucky? It's been a while since I read the newspaper, but I used to turn to the comics first just to read "Get Fuzzy" for that character. He reminds me of my cat Deja Vu, a Balinese and about as mischievous. Fortunately, I don't have a dog for her to antagonize. I haven't seen the movie you mentioned, but I'll put it on my list of ToDo's.
Wow! You named my favorites all the way back to Rags. How about The Cat in the Hat, Top Cat, any of the ones from Disney's Aristocats, Tony the Tiger, Heathcliff, Puss 'N Boots, and of course Hello Kitty. What about the cat that always fell for Pepe Le Peu? Of course there is always the non-cartoon - That Darn Cat.

Hi SuzyQII. Thanks for the mental nudge on Top Cat, another one I'd forgotten about. I used to watch that show regularly (I was a fool for cats since way back).
