The Big Chute Marine Railway

The Big Chute Marine Railway is located on the Trent Canal in Southern Ontario, Canada. It is the second last lock before entering into Georgian Bay (which brings you into Lake Huron of the five Great Lakes). Because of the rocky terrain, it was impossible to build a traditional lock system here. A railway car was designed and constructed that picks up boats and carries them over land to the other side of the canal. Not many people know this even exists. The video begins at the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland, Ontario.
