Life in one Minute and a Ribbon performance, video, projected at Alba, 2006 My intentions in this one-minute video performance are to portray the passage of time through the annual ritual of blowing-out of birthday candles and to illustrate the different stages and experiences in one's life, i.e. childhood, adolescences, marriage, motherhood, womanhood, aging and finally death through the interlaced movements created by the shimmering pink ribbon. The presence of the male light bearer symbolizes, my outer-world, the universe that feeds me stimuli, love and comfort.
