Tetsuo Kurata - Kamen Rider Black/RX Interview - Part 1

Tetsuo Kurata (倉田 てつを, Kurata Tetsuo, September 11, 1968 -) is a Japanese actor from Kanagawa Prefecture, best known for portraying Kotaro Minami, the main character of the Tokusatsu Three Trilogy Superhero Series Kamen Rider BLACK Kamen Rider BLACK RX. Kurata made his acting debut in BLACK. He has since appeared in many other television series and theatrical films. His real name is Tetsuo Takayama (高山 哲夫, Takayama Tetsuo). He auditioned for the role of Kotaro Minami in 1986. He managed to impress the panel of judges including Ishinomori sensei, and won the role out of 8000 contestants. Kurata has apparently been out of much public spotlight after leaving the entertainment industry for a bit of time, but came back to voice Kotaro Minami/Kamen Rider Black in Kamen Rider: Seigi No Keifu, as well as appearing in Battle of the Cooking Iron. In 2006, he had been in an interview made by TOEI regarding about his time in the '80s and his thoughts about the Kamen Rider Black series. Kurata is a beef meat lover. He now owns a beefsteak restaurant in Kōtō,Tokyo.
