YES - MIND DRIVE (excerpts) (Chris Lawley cover)

Well here it is. My rendition of excerpts from the 18 plus minute Yes song 'Mind Drive' from their album 'Keys to Ascension 2'. I am so disappointed with Youtube's compression after uploading! I spent so much time getting the sound to be really good, and then I upload it and it sounds like crap. Oh well. Not much can be done about it I guess (unless anyone out there knows the secret of how to get around the poor sound quality after uploading. Tell me tell me tell me!!!). Anyway, about the song. As you figured, I'm a huge YES fan. But I embarassedly admit that I have never really given their later stuff (post 80) much of a chance, preferring the 70's era YES music. However, I've owned all the albums for years, and continued to buy their new releases. I purchased Keys to Ascension 2 when it was first released in 1997 or 1998, but never gave much time to the studio tracks on it. Until about 2 months ago when I threw on Mind Drive for the first time in many many years and was amazed at how great it is! I apologize to YES and all fans of their later music for letting this song sit on my shelf for over a decade before discovering its genius! I highly recommend anyone who hasn't heard it before to go out and buy it. You will not be disappointed if you are a fan of early YES music! I now find myself pouring over my post 90's YES albums to hear what other gems I've overlooked over the years.
