The Great Escape video walkthrough: The Great Escape

This covers Mission 10: The Great Escape from the PS2 version of The Great Escape. Here's the original walkthrough I wrote for this mission: Mission 10: The Great Escape Character: Segwick/Hilts Inventory: Nothing Objective(s): Speak to Hendly Run over to the guy dressed in the black suit and hat and press "action". A cinematic plays explaining the escape and the next objective. New Objective: Speak to Ashley-Pitt Turn left and run to the door, look through the keyhole and wait for the Guard to move away from you. Then run out and into the building next door (to the left). Walk over to the guy with blonde hair and talk to him. Tell him to start the distraction. New Objective(s): Get the Rope Get the Rope to Big X Get the Rope A i minute 10 second timer will begin, equip the Vorlager Gate Keys, and wait for the spotlight to move away from the door. Then run to the gate and press "action" to unlock and open it. Run to left and straight to the pile of crates. Here get the Rope, no matter how much time you have left on the timer it will stop as soon as you get the Rope. New Objective: Examine the Generator Wait for the Guard to patrol away from you then quietly follow him until you get to a door ( check the map). In this small walled in area walk over to the generators. Unlock the door on the right in this walled in area. New Objective(s): Get a Wrench Sabotage the Transformers Sabotage the Control Panel Get a Wrench Run out of the walled area, make a left, right, run to the next corner, make two rights, and go in the door. In this kitchen area, walk over to the counter and grab the Bottle. Head out the front door of this building, but look through the keyhole and wait for the Guard and spotlights to move away. When they do run out the door, equip the Bottle and run to the door of the small shack to the right. Save your game. Go into the shack and throw the Bottle at the wall near the sleeping Soldier. He'll wake up and turn his back to you. When he does sneak up behind him and choke him. When he's dead grab the Wrench. Sabotage the transformers Run out of the snack and head back to the transformers. Equip the Wrench and press "action" until the energy bar is gone; repeat the process for the second generator. Sabotage the Control Panel Run into the door you unlocked earlier and close it behind you. Walk over to the control panel and press "action" until the energy bar is gone. Get the Rope to Big X Un-equip the Wrench and run over to the door you came in through and look through the keyhole. Wait for a Soldier to walk in sight, when he starts bitching about the generators walk out and sneak up behind him. Choke him. Watch for the Guard from earlier as you go back to the gate. When you get to the gate don't worry about the Guard guarding it. Quickly run into the hut you meet Ashley-Pitt in, then go back to the tunnel entrance (watch for the Guard). Equip the Rope and climb down into the tunnel, press "action" to get on the cart. Go forward until the end. At the end press "action" twice to get off the first cart and to get on the second. A cinematic will play explaining the next part. (You'll now be playing as Hilts) New Objective: Set Up the Rope Signal Save your game. Equip the Rope and climb the ladder, at the top run to the bushes straight ahead. When you get behind the bushes press "action" until the energy bar is gone. A cinematic will play showing the rope set up. New Objective: Signal to the POW's Wait for the Soldier to walk away from the hole then press "action". A cinematic will play showing Sedgwick climbing out of the hole. If the coast is still clear press "action" again. A cinematic will play showing Hendly and Blythe climbing out of the hole. The spotlights will come back on, wait for the Soldier(s) and spotlights to move away from the hole. When they do press "action". Watch the cinematic.
