I hate to see commercials like Oreck's and all, they look kinda cheap and such.. But giving them the benefit of a doubt, I went to ebay and purchased one of theirs for 60 dollars.. And I just simply love it to death. It's the lightest, toughest mother, and it picks up everything.. It doesn't overheat, no foot pedal to push to get it to go lower, it will go under anything with a 8 inch clearance (just measured, yepp its true).. It has a front light, and the power is in a switch on the handle.. Simple is better sometimes and this is a very simple sweeper, and it behaves well.. The one I bought however had a duct-taped wire and the plug is somewhat sensitive (nothing unfixable), but I'd assume the new models not to be like this. I also show one model I purchased from Sams Wholesale (Wal Mart's wholesale channel, get it SAMs WALton MART?), Anyhow, the guy is dead and rolling in his grave.. The Eureka sweeper I bought is shown in the video but not demonstrated, it if used for long periods of time will rev-up and slow down, stopping and leaving an electrical smell behind.. I think it overheats.. It was made in Mexico too, so no telling what quality it is.. Note, the XBOX 360s are also made in Mexico and they overheat (the infamous "red ring of death"). I wonder if this is a problem with the environment in mexico, maybe they don't have problems with stuff overheating? Anyhow, before that I'd purchased another Eureka sweeper, a plastic cup style sweeper, those totally suck, I will never get another "plastic cup" sweeper, you don't really save anything and it isn't doing the environment a bleeding bit of good, and it kicks up my allergies to dispose of the contents of the cup. Thanks, I'd rather buy paper bags to store the dust.. Note 90% of dust is human dander anyhow.. Which feeds the spiders and dust-mites, so it isn't like all that dust stays in the environment, but wouldn't you rather it stay in an equally organic paper sack? BTW, the reason for the California fires, their state law promoted the preservation of trees, which produced a lot of wood-fuel or under-brush, when they got fires, the fires were more powerful than ever. So cutting trees is not bad for the environment, neither is dust-bags.. Note, that forest fires are a natural phenomina, how trees re-seed is with pine-cones that open up in extreme heat, in a forest fire! Also covered in this video is a bit of advice about purchasing beds online.. Simply "Don't!!!". I had a really bad experience with it.. At least if you do, know ahead of time what you are getting, and at least find one somewhere and lay on it to determine if you really want it.. But if you need a bed fast, go to a store and try them out, its the only way, and you will probably get a better deal anyhow..
