Kathak in Varanasi

My dance teacher Sheeba rehearses with her family on their rooftop in Varanasi, India. Kathak is an ancient indian dance form which continues to thrive in northern india. Sheeba's father is a well-known tabla player and they live in the part of the city where all the musicians live. It was wonderful taking lessons and spending time in their wonderful home!
