Podesta: Obama has 'real mandate for change'

Fox News Chris Wallace talked with John Podesta who is co-chairman of Barack Obamas transition team. Podesta told Wallace they are moving aggressively to try to build out that core economic team, the national security team. Podesta didnt provide a precise date for the selection of key cabinet members. He brought millions of people in. They werent all democrats. He reached out to independents and Republicans. And I think we want to see that reflected at every level of government. Sometimes theres a token Republican in the cabinet or token Democrat in a Republican administration. I think his charge to us is that he wants a broad diverse cabinet, one thats built on first criteria excellence, said Podesta Wallace asked if Obama had won a mandate in the election. Podesta replied, I think he feels there was a strong vote for change so I think he feels like he has a real mandate for change. This video is from Foxs Fox News Sunday, broadcast November 9, 2008.
