Antar Blue - "Someday"

Antar Blue sings and plays Moby Grape classic "Someday!" Moby Grape was not an LA production band capitalizing on the 'psychedelic' bandwagon like Strawberry Alarm Clock or the Grassroots. They were a band of fine musicians from the Pacific Northwest originally named the Frantics. 'Frantic' they were. they rolled into SF like a 'choir on a freight train' and blew everyone's minds with their superb musicianship and great vocals. I had the good fortune to hear them live several times in 66-67. Bob Moseley's vocals were reminiscent of Otis Redding; Jerry Miller's lead guitar work was the best thing we had heard in SF until Eric Clapton. And they rocked like crazy. The name Moby Grape refers to a type of purple Owlsley acid popular at the time. No, Strawberry Alarmclocks the Grape knew Owlsley. Moby Grape were destined to become one of the first bands to have 'Super-Star' status when they were, unfortunately, cut down by a mean-spirited Marin County judge! Those under-age girls, cocaine, pot, cheap red wine and Marin backroads don't ya know! Moby Grape still perform with all original members except the late, iconic Skip Spence. The video uses no tab or pre-bought backing track. Backing track by Antar Blue.
